    JOB DESCRIPTION / POSTING

    JOB TITLE: Executive Director

    JOB SUMMARY: Provides oversight and executive-level management, planning, vision and leadership for all aspects of the school including board development, finance, communications, human resources, and programs and services. Works under the general oversight of the Board of Directors. Performs duties below and other duties as assigned.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Estimated percentage

    A. Board of Directors (20%)*:

    1. Works with the Board and Board Committees to establish a clear vision, long range strategic plan, annual Board work plans and priorities consistent with School mission, and implements all Board policies.

    2. Keeps the Board of Directors fully informed of opportunities, issues, and challenges for the School and the environment in which it operates so that the Board can carry out its governance role.

    3. Recruits for additional Board members (board development) in conjunction with the Board President.

    B. Overall Management (20%)*:

    1. Develops, delegates and monitors procedures and programs as required by Federal/State regulations and as needed to service the population attending the School.

    2. Directly supervises program management staff and provides high-level staff direction and supervision.

    3. Provides ongoing operational management to ensure the School stays within approved plans and budgets.

    C. Finance & Public Relations (15%)*:

    1. Oversees development and implementation of annual budget and fundraising plan with appropriate staff and submits plans for Board approval.

    2. Oversees development of a public relations strategy with Director of Community Engagement to promote services and a positive public image in the community and to agencies that make referrals to the School.

    3. Develops / maintains relationships with donors with assistance from Director of Community Engagement.

    D. Advocacy (15%)*:

    1. Builds relationships with state and local government officials and state and national organizations for the purpose of protecting and advancing the School’s mission.

    2. Guides Director of Community Engagement and administrative staff in developing various internal and external communications strategies to keep Board, staff, students, parents, sending districts and the community informed of School programs and regulations.

    E. Human Resources (15%)*:

    1. Provides executive oversight to human resources in a manner which supports a productive, professionally competent workforce in an environment respectful of personal well-being and cultural diversity.

    2. In conjunction with human resources staff, ensures proper licensing of staff members in compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations.

    3. Oversees the development of personnel performance evaluation guidelines with human resources staff.

    4. Oversees the creation of a Staff Development Plan and collaborates with human resources/School Directors to ensure that it is implemented effectively.

    5. Coordinates with human resources to advise on/stay informed of hiring, firing, and resolution of grievances.

    F. Program Management (15%)*:

    1. Oversees the development of effective policies and programs, in conjunction with School Directors.

    2. Oversees the acquisition of valid evaluation tools in determining student eligibility, developing IEPs, and monitoring student progress, in conjunction with teaching staff, related services staff and nursing.

    3. Oversees the development of program performance evaluation guidelines, establishes program goals, and identifies organizational needs, and leads planning / implementation of the School improvement process.

    4. Ensures compliance with state Department of Education school approval processes.

    SUPERVISOR: Board of Directors (Board)

    WORK SCHEDULE: Compensation and benefits are based on forty (40) hours per week, fifty-two (52) weeks/year. Hours will be established in consultation with the Board of Directors.

    BENEFITS: The School contributes 95% of the cost for employee's health insurance; 75% of the cost for employee's dental insurance, and a 50% matching contribution, up to 3% of annual compensation, to our 403B retirement plan. We also offer many other types of insurance on a voluntary basis through payroll deduction. The Executive Director also accrues 10 vacation days, 10 sick days, 3 personal days, and 3 professional days annually. The school also pays for one college course per contract year and up to $500 annually for workshops.

    EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Administration, or in an education related field.

    EXPERIENCE: Experience (6+ years) in a position with similar responsibilities.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Free of restrictions that would limit the use of the hands as it relates to computer operation, with or without reasonable accommodation and or mechanical devices, and the ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry fifty (50) pounds, and accomplish physical management of students consistent with CPI training.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver's license. Obtain and maintain certification in First Aid, CPR, and CPI. Ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task, and plan / prioritize own work. Participate in professional development.

We are seeking a career driven CPA or CPA candidate with 2 years of relevant tax and accounting experience. Candidate should be ready to hit the ground running on day one and excited to work directly with existing and prospective clients on tax returns, financial statements, audits – you will be able to be involved in all aspects of accounting. We work with our clients to ensure not only that their tax compliance requirements are satisfied but also prospectively to support them in implementing tax planning strategies as well as support them in operating their businesses.

    An ideal candidate will be able to prepare individual, partnership, corporate and nonprofit tax returns independently while managing the challenges that come with tax season. Additionally, being able to perform bookkeeping/write-up, accounting and payroll for the Firm’s clients and participate with the audit team as necessary. Excellent communication skills, attention to details, strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.     Full-time, year-round, indoor worker needed in Dover, to be cross-trained making and installing cabinets and specialty renovations. Some experience helpful but necessary, we will provide all tools and train completely. No experience necessary, just an attention to detail, excellent dependability, and comfort both manufacturing in our facility and installing in people's homes. Excellent wage and signing bonus for the right person willing to make a commitment, and no down time, we are busy all the time year-round.

    Requirements: Because we go into people's homes and retirement communities you must be fully vaccinated including the booster, have a dependable car and clean driving record, be able to pass drug tests, and lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
