DOVER, N.H. – Award-winning surgeon, Hany Takla, MD, FACS, FASMBS has joined Wentworth Health Partners General Surgery and the Wentworth-Douglass Center for Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Takla worked as the Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Winchester Hospital in Winchester, Mass. prior to joining Wentworth-Douglass. He brings years of global experience to the hospital and has fellowship training in robotic surgery. He is a Fellow of American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as well as the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Takla has completed internships, residencies, and fellowships at: Cairo University Hospital in Egypt; the University of Washington in Seattle; the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Mass., and the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz.
Dr. Takla has been published in nine medical journals and was featured in Boston Magazine as a Top Doctor in 2019.
